The Homebuilders Association of Greater Chattanooga announced Thursday that Richard Beeland, current deputy administrator of Economic and Community Development for the city of Chattanooga, will become the new executive officer for their Association.
Jay Bell, president of the association, said, "We are pleased to announce and welcome Richard Beeland as our new Executive Officer.
Richard has the credentials and experience to be an exceptional leader of our staff and play an important role in ensuring the continued success of our Association."
Mr. Bell said the Homebuilders Association of Greater Chattanooga was established in 1945 and has a long history of representing the local home building industry that contributes greatly to the local economy and tax base. It also has a history of making many contributions to the Chattanooga communities through supporting local non-profit organizations, college scholarships offerings, and supplies to local schools.
Mr. Beeland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science as well as a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
