Residents are invited to participate in a variety of programs surrounding National Bike to Work Day Friday.
GreenTrips, in partnership with Allegra Allergy and others, will offer a fun-filled day of biking activities, including a free community breakfast, an afternoon street block party and a dinnertime trek on Stringer's Ridge.
Bike Chattanooga will offer complimentary 24-hour access passes during the event. Guests can visit any of Bike Chattanooga's 37 kiosks to take advantage of the opportunity. The pass includes unlimited station-to-station trips lasting fewer than 60 minutes. Access is provided by Allegra Allergy.
Festivities begin with the annual Bike to Work celebration and breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Miller Plaza. Volunteers from area neighborhoods are organizing routes and meeting places for those who want to participate in a group ride.
Routes are scheduled for St. Elmo, Highland Park, Chickamauga Dam via Riverwalk, North Chattanooga and Hill City.
Admission to the breakfast is free. Click
